Referencing the artists’ life and personal experiences, the artwork of Memoir depicts self-reflection and relates to the human mind by displaying imagination and creativity. The exhibition displays the collective mentality of three artists with very different pasts and backgrounds, and who possess very different art styles, but who found a common thread in representing past experiences.

Composed of various patterns and color palettes, Nikolas’ non-objective paintings provide an outlet for creative exploration. Referencing personal iconography, Ren’s sculptures abstract representational elements while playing with geometric shapes to develop a deeper connection to form and heritage. Providing a bridge between Nikolas and Ren’s artwork, Lexi’s mixed-media pieces embrace contradiction through their seemingly random approach to ironic imagery and the intuitive exploration of mediums and materials.
