The Richard and Virgina Crossley Gallery, at Ringling College of Art and Design was established in 1999, to allow Fine Arts students the ability to direct a gallery space and to showcase the work of the Ringling College’s Fine Arts department. Over the past twenty years we have exhibited work by visiting artists, special curated exhibitions and presented first time exhibitions by our students and alumni.

Crossley Gallery is a beautiful, 1200 square foot state of the art gallery that is administered by the Fine Arts Department and its students. The gallery provides an opportunity for students to learn the challenges of exhibition planning, scheduling and installation in a professional, self-directed setting.

As artists our Alumni have gone on to sustaining critical careers, being represented by top galleries across the globe such as Mary Boone, NYC, Shoshana Wayne, Santa Monica, CA, Cherry and Martin, Los Angeles, Balice Hertling, Paris and Jeff Bailey, Hudson, NY. Our artists have received numerous accolades, awards and grants such as a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, Guggenheim Fellowship and a Joan Mitchell Fellowship.
