In the Flesh

We have been convinced it is not polite to have a body. Our flesh is sin, our bodies are political, and our desires are shameful. In the Flesh in an art exhibition brought to you by the Crossley gallery that looks to reaffirm and reclaim our physical existence.

The skin bears carnal relationship to the world; from having needs both mundane and forbidden, to being subject to judgement. But as we dig deeper, we find a contradictory Self. Our body is a source of shame yet pride, a vessel that connects and isolates, a space of comfort and discomfort.
