CURATED BY NICOLE MAUSER

Selected artworks interweave rich conceptual meaning with consideration of craft. Through combinations of compelling associations with finish or skill, these artworks make a distinctive impact and have staying power. The objects and images represent potential series that can sustain artistic production, material investigation and research for years to come. Formal choices demonstrate how 2D and 3D materials carry meaning. Artistic choices embody traditional depictions filtered through individual perspective and new media to create anachronisms. Each work is a unique lens to view our particular and peculiar socio-political moment. There is some serious play happening too.
